Give Birthday Party Favor with Style

Birthday party favors are a nice way to thank your guests for attending and send them on their way with their own 'present' from your party.

Some basic party favor items to consider are: stickers, pencils, candy, cookies, small toys, mini notepads. Try to find items that match your party theme. Party favors can be expensive. Decide how much you want to spend and then stick to it. Keep track of the cost of items that you purchase. Include one or two higher cost items and several lower cost items per child. A good guide is $5-8 per child. Think about what your child would like to have, ask him/her for ideas and buy accordingly.

Party Favor Ideas

Use small or medium sized paper, plastic or cellophane bags to put the party favors in and tie with ribbon. Give them out to the guests at the end of the party as they leave. You may also want to provide loot bags for the guests. Guests can then put any favors, prizes and completed art projects in their bags throughout the party. Have the guests write their full names on their bags and decorate them with stickers related to the party theme when they first arrive.

Favor Bag Ideas

It's a good idea to have a few extra favors and bags for unexpected guests and siblings of guests who stay for the party.
